Resort 2027, First Light, captures the quiet moment before the world awakens - when darkness loosens its grip and the horizon begins to glow. It is not the arrival of light, but the promise of it.
Over the past seasons, the collections have been searching. Spring looked toward hope in turbulent times. Fall turned inward, seeking magic and meaning. Now, something begins to emerge. First Light lives in that luminous space between longing and arrival, between what has been and what might still be possible.
For me, sunrise has always carried a sense of renewal. Whether along the East River in New York, in the hills of Nepal, on a Paris morning before the city wakes, or from a hotel room somewhere in transit, the first light of day offers the same reminder: that beauty persists and each day presents an opportunity to begin again.
That spirit shapes the collection. Soft, luminous colors reflect the landscape at dawn, from pale sky blues to blush pinks and warm neutrals. Fluid dresses, relaxed tailoring, and romantic separates balance structure with ease, while floral embroideries and tactile textures evoke garments touched by sunlight and memory.
Romantic, optimistic, and softly cinematic, the collection exists in the space between memory and anticipation. Inspired in part by the photography of Saul Leiter, First Light finds beauty in fleeting moments - a reflection in a rain-soaked window, an unexpected burst of color, a city slowly coming to life. Like his images, the collection embraces the poetry of the everyday and the quiet magic found in transition.
It is the beginning of a journey - not yet full illumination, but the moment when the horizon starts to glow.
First Light is a quiet promise. Hope isn't always loud. Sometimes hope is simply waking up and choosing to begin again.
